Palm Sunday, April 16, 2006 and
Recognition of Parish Eldest Member

Mrs. Mary McCarthy, a devoted long-time parishioner and resident of Battle Creek.
Mary, St. Elias' oldest ("youngest") member, received recognition today (Palm Sunday) for her love and dedication to our parish community. Following Fr. Lawrence's well wishes and blessing, he presented her with two beautiful icons. Chris Popovich, President, also congratulated Mary and presented her with some memorable items, including an old copy of her personal choir book and parish by-laws containing her signature.  We wish her our Lord's choicest blessings as she embarks for the State of Alabama where her son resides with his family.
