Nearly 40 years ago:
Ground breaking for new Orthodox Christian parish in Battle Creek.  Most Rev. Archbishop Jonathan, Patriarchal Exarch of North America & the Aleutian Islands (center) of St. Nicholas Cathedral (NYC) lead the ceremony with visiting clergymen.  Fluent in both the Serbian and English languages, M. Yosifovski (layman on left) ably translated. The priest on the right looking on is Archpriest Igor Burdikoff.
September 13, 1970:
The first Divine Liturgy at our present location. The service was celebrated by the Very Rev. Archpriest John Ball of Holland, MI. Many of the pictured faithful are still active members of our community!
