St. Elias Eastern Orthodox Church is proud to support the Orthodox Christian Fellowship at Western Michigan UniversityKalamazoo College and Kalamazoo Valley Community College .

The OCF seeks to unite students and faculty in the study and practice of ancient Christianity. Through prayer services, Bible studies, missions trips and fellowship, the OCF is a haven for members of the University community who desire a deep relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our OCF Chapter currently meets bi-weekly. We gather every other Monday evening at 8:00PM at BIG APPLE BAGELS, 2620 W. Michigan Ave. #B in Kalamazoo (near the intersection of W. Michigan Ave. & S. Howard St. and directly above VIDEO HITS PLUS).  If transportation is needed, students are asked to phone (269) 716 - 3752.

Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) is the official campus ministry effort under SCOBA (Standing Conference of Canonical Orthodox Bishops in the Americas). Located in Boston, OCF is a Pan-Orthodox effort, overseen by an Executive Committee and aided by an 20-person Student Advisory Board. OCF guides and supports local OCF chapters through communication with the larger Orthodox Community, National Programs, and development of resources that Orthodox college students and those interested in Orthodoxy can use.

OCF is a member of SYNDESMOS, the World Fellowship of Orthodox Youth, a federation of Orthodox youth movements and theological schools around the world, working under the blessing of all the local canonical Churches, to serve the Church, Her unity, witness and renewal.

The aim of SYNDESMOS is to develop cooperation and communication among Orthodox youth movements and theological schools around the world, and to promote within them a deeper understanding and vision of their common faith.
